Sixteen-year-old Abbegale Seymour is an outstanding student whom her teachers at Triple C School have described as a great example of diligence to her peers. She has consistently ranked first in her class and currently maintains a 4.25 GPA. Her academic performance has also earned her the distinction of being selected as a recipient of the Principal’s Award for the past four years.
She attributes her success to her mother, who she says has taught her great strength by her own example.
Abbegale is currently pursuing studies in the Sciences in hopes of becoming a veterinarian one day.
She participated in the Dart Minds Inspired Math Challenge in both 2017 and 2019. She also received first place in the Adventures in Citizenship Essay Competition put on by the Rotary Club of Cayman earlier this year.
Although Abbegale is being honoured for her academic prowess, she is also a talented artist. Several of her pieces are displayed throughout the administrative office at Triple C School. One particular piece is so impactful that it has been illustrated on the cover of the school’s 2019 yearbook.
Abbegale is also an active member of the Key Club and a participant in the Mentoring Cayman programme this year.
