Twenty-five-year-old Alanna Warwick-Smith is enthusiastic and detail-oriented. She enjoys volunteering to make a difference in her community.
Alanna has obtained a Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons.) degree at the University of Liverpool, UK. Her career path in human resources and marketing began as an intern in 2016 with the DART organisation. She then went on as a full-time human resource coordinator with the company and later transitioned to the role of marketing communication coordinator, followed by senior marketing coordinator for her exceptional work.
In 2017, Alanna was nominated by the Cayman Islands Society of Human Resource Professionals (CISHRP) as its HR Young Talent of the Year. She was later elected onto the CISHRP’s board, serving as its youngest-ever Director (2018-2020). During her tenure, Alanna’s most significant accomplishments were overseeing the relaunch of the CISHRP’s website and implementing its social media strategy. While still a member of the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association, Alanna was nominated in 2021 as the Rising Star of the Year.
Alanna has been a member of Rotaract Blue since 2018, where she held the roles of public relations chair, vice president and president. She embodies Rotary International’s mantra of “service above self”. Praised for having kept the club membership intact since the onset of the pandemic; Alanna has also been credited with assisting members in improving their networking skills, and for supporting their professional development and community service endeavors.
Alanna’s other Rotaract Blue-driven initiatives include community clean-up’s, fundraisers and community services for Jasmine, the Pines Retirement Home, the Bonaventure Boys Home, and others.
In her spare time, the West Bay resident volunteers with the Junior Achievement programme and LIFE, a not-for-profit organisation that supports improving the literacy skills of youth. Her resilient approach and impact of her voluntary efforts have been immeasurable.
