Arnold Berry is a 2019 honours graduate of Clifton Hunter High School where he obtained 11 subject passes. He was class valedictorian and was named among the top ten academic achievers. Arnold also received the Clifton Hunter High School Principal’s Award and the award for Highest Attainment in Integrated Science.
Arnold is currently pursuing A-levels in Mathematics, Physics, Geography and Computer Science at St Ignatius Catholic School. He intends to study Aviation or Engineering and ultimately become an entrepreneur in the engineering field.
His teachers describe the 17-year old Bodden Town native as having integrity and strong leadership skills. These skills became evident during his tenure at CHHS, where he served as Peer Mentor, Prefect and House Captain. He continues to exhibit these skills at St Ignatius where he is currently a Head Prefect and House Captain.
Arnold not only excels academically but is also involved in various extra-curricular activities.
He is presently the captain of his school’s football team and a former captain of the Bodden Town Football Club at the U17 level. He has also served as a member of the Cayman Islands Boys’ National Football team at the U13 and U17 levels.
During the 2017/2018 academic year, Arnold also participated in the KPMG Brain Bowl Tournament, the Dart Minds Inspired Math Challenge and the Conyers' Inter-Schools Debate Tournament.
In 2018 Arnold represented the Cayman Islands at the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC and New York. The following year he attended the Junior Achievement Success Summit in Calgary where he received 2nd runner up awards for Product of the Year and Company of the year. He was also nominated for the award of Most Promising Male Achiever.
In his free time, he likes to play dominoes, listen to music and hang out with his friends.
