In Year 4 at Sir John A Cumber Primary School (SJACPS), I won the high jump at sports day. My PE teacher recognised that I had a natural jumping ability, and he entered me in the Inter-Primary Sport Champions, where I won for high jump. I was also a member of the SJACPS girls football team, and the day the coach put me in as goalkeeper was the day I saw success on the field. These events marked the beginning of years of sports involving jumping and running for track & field, goalkeeper for football, basketball, cricket, swimming, and volleyball.

My greatest achievement to date is representing the Cayman Islands at the 2024 CARIFTA Games this April in high jump and long jump. It was a great honour. I achieved a personal best in long jump placing 7th out of 18 competitors. For high jump, I placed 8th of out 10, jumping 1.55m. I have won many first-place medals in high jump and long jump, and medals in sprinting. My most recent awards include being awarded the U17 Female Victrix Luodorum Trophy at Inter-Secondary Championships this March, winning gold for long jump and 4x100 relay, silver for high jump and 100m.

As a member of Vision Academy 345 Track club, I am currently training hard for the upcoming 2024-2025 track season for the sprints, long jump and hurdles. My goal is to become a member of the 2025 CARIFTA team and travel to Trinidad for the games. Last season my personal best was 5.42m, and this season I hope to jump 6.0m with the goal of winning a medal at the CARIFTA Games. Additionally, I am aiming to take part at John Gray High School (JGHS), in volleyball, pickleball, football and track this school year.

I am great at art and love entering art competitions. I am a five-year JGHS choir member, having participated in numerous concerts, NCFA and musical productions. I aim to be a role model by sharing the benefits of sports and motivating everyone to use sports to keep physically and mentally healthy.
