The Youth Services Unit and the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Heritage are pleased to announce the 2nd annual Youth Empowerment Symposium under the theme of "Empowerment through Education."
This symposium occurs across 2-days and features a series of panels, activities and a Keynote Address from young Caymanian model and entreprenuer Nik Stewart.
Young adults aged 18-30 years are welcome to join the symposium as the symposium opens with a Young Adult Keynote Evening on Thursday 23rd May (6:00PM – 9:00PM at the Marriott Resort Ballroom). There are limited spaces open for members of the public to attend. If this interests you please RSVP online (as soon as possible, or by the deadline of 20th May). Share this with any other young adults who would be interested. RSVP is required (for catering purposes).
The evening will feature the Keynote Address and a panel of other young Caymanians who will share their experiences around career changes/transitions. This evening will focus on how young people are pursuing new/innovate education and career pathways outside of academics, in order to advance themselves and their society. It will delve into the challenges and adventures around career changes (and how our education choices can support these). Join us for an uplifting and engaging evening by RSVP'ing at: https://www.youthservices.ky/event-details/yes-2024-young-adult-keynote-evening
(Kindly note that Day #2 of the symposium is a closed registration for high school/college students only. Contact your school consellor and/or the Youth Services Unit at info.ysu@gov.ky or 943-1127 for more information on this.)
