I began my educational journey at Bodden Town Primary School, where I developed a strong foundation. Transitioning to high school, I excelled academically, particularly in Mathematics and English, which led my parents to allow me to sit my CXC exams for these subjects in Year 8. This early success fueled my passion for learning and laid the groundwork for my ongoing commitment to education.
Throughout my high school journey, I consistently earned a spot on the honour list for my year group from Year 8 onward. I represented my school on the Clifton Hunter Math Challenge team at the DART Mind Inspired Math Competition and later joined St. Ignatius Catholic School’s DART Math team. Upon graduating from Clifton Hunter High School, I received subject awards in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Information Technology, along with honours for Top Student in the Sciences and Student of the Year for 2024. Additionally, I graduated with one of the top ten averages, having completed 17 CSEC subjects. This commitment was recognised with the Government High School Scholar (Female) Award for 2024-2025.
Currently, I am a university student in the UK, focused on settling into this new academic environment and performing well in my studies. My main goal right now is to adapt to the demands of university life, balancing my coursework and adjusting to the rigors of my programme.
An interesting fact about me is my love for sports - I play both rugby and netball, and I also enjoy playing in an orchestra, which has taught me the importance of discipline and teamwork. I hope to use these skills to inspire others academically by sharing my experiences and encouraging them to pursue both academic and extracurricular interests, showing how they can work together to support personal growth and achievement.
